Serving the Nations here in MB

OneReach Volunteering at All Nations Cafe

June 28, 2025

Every year, hundreds of international students come to Myrtle Beach on J-1 visas to work, travel, and experience life in the United States. For many, it is their first time in the country, and while they are here, they are adjusting to a new culture, language, and way of life. That is where All Nations Cafe comes in: a welcoming space where students can enjoy a free meal, practice their English, and build meaningful connections in a safe, loving environment.

This week, our team had the incredible opportunity to volunteer at All Nations Cafe. For most of us, it was our first time visiting, and the experience began with a warm onboarding session and a tour of the space. After learning more about the mission and heart behind the cafe, we were sent out to serve, and we were ready.

In God’s perfect timing, the All Nations team happened to be short staffed that day. But He knew! Our team stepped in right on time to help meet the needs, and His presence was evident throughout the evening. From the start, there was a tangible sense of joy and purpose as we interacted with students from around the world, served food, laughed, and listened.

The love of Christ was reflected in every moment through conversations, smiles, and simple acts of service. Many of us were stretched to engage with people from different cultures and backgrounds, and yet the Holy Spirit made it feel so natural. Meaningful connections were made not just with the students, but with the staff and volunteers who make All Nations Cafe possible.

One especially powerful moment came when two of our team members sat down with a couple from Romania. The students shared that they were struggling with their perception of Christ and faith. Led by the Holy Spirit, our team was able to walk with them through those questions and doubts, and by the end of the night, both students fully accepted salvation. What a testimony of God’s grace and divine appointment!

It was a reminder that ministry does not always look like a pulpit or a platform. Sometimes, it is just showing up, listening, serving, and letting God do the rest.

We are so grateful for All Nations Cafe and the work they are doing in our community, and we are excited for the next time we get to partner together.
